About Me

I have been an educator since 2000, working mostly in primary schools in Northern Ireland and for twelve of those years I had the privilege of being a principal in three very different schools. I have always been passionate about leadership in education and in particular - a coaching approach to leadership.

Over the last few years I have further developed my coaching skills and am now a qualified coach. I stepped out of headship completely in October 2021 and since then have set up Richard Reid Coaching. I now offer coaching for individuals and teams both locally (face to face) and internationally (via zoom) as well as a variety of staff training sessions and student workshops. I deliver these services in both the public and the private sector.

Alongside my own work at Richard Reid Coaching I also work as an associate/consultant with the following organisations: see below

  • Senior Consultant

Based in Australia, Growth Coaching International is a coach training organisation, specialising in coaching in education and has been a world leader in this field for twenty years. I am currently a senior consultant and also host the ‘Coaching in Education’ podcast. Check out their website below to get a flavour of the amazing work they do.
